I found mine tucked way down on the passenger side sort of underneath the fuel filter tied up to some other wiring. Cut the tie and it will come out pretty far. Hope this helps.

I bought my truck in GA. The dealer told me that most trucks sold in the south didn't have block heaters since the weather is so mild here during the winter. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this. I found my plug zip-tied to the wiring harness just below the fuel filter. My truck isn't supposed to have a heater.

My truck was originally delivered to Austin, Texas and it has one.

Check your RPO codes in the glove box. If there is a "K05", then you have one.

If it gets below 32 deg.F (which is only about 10 times a year:D ) I plug mine in. Easier starting, quicker warmup.

Later!

You won't need to plug it in in georgia. I bought my truck in auburn, AL and they didn't know it came with one stock. All the diesels come with it stock from the factory.

Well that block heater does a great job! It was -11C (don't know the F equivalant) but it sure made a difference in starting and warming up!!!

Its about -17C right know, so well see how it works friday am!!
