Hi guys,

another ABS question, I have a new 2005 c4500 with the 8.1 gasser. I am getting an ABS light but my buddys strap-on scanner won't read the codes (only up to 2001) if there another way I can read the codes or at least reset the thing??

BTW, no further information on the C7500 ABS issues at this point!

You'll need a capable scanner or a Tech 2 to read the codes. You could try to disconnect the battery for a few minutes but if the problem is still present the light will stay on.

When this light went on, what were the circumstances (temp, first startup of the day, did you wait for the wait to start light to go out, etc.)? What type of brakes and engine do you have? Please be as detailed as possible. When you get the code, can you let me know what it was. Thanks

I had my ABS light come on for about 800-1000 miles of travel with stops. It just went off by itself. I have it at the shop getting serviced. I will post if they find something.
