Does any one know if theres a way to switch the computer of an lly with an LB7 computer? Make the LLY think its an LB7? That way LB7 Chips can be used. Is that in anyway possible? IM tired of my slow ass LLY and i cant afford another truck.

No

The Turbo in a LLY depends on the ECM for one thing.

The LLY also has three connectors where the LB7 only has two. Just too many changes for it to be easy, if it's even possible.

why would you even consider that????
Give the LLY some time the aftermarket will catch up besides the turbo on an LLY is much better than the ones on the LB7. Once some companies find a way around all of the emissions bs the LLY will be one badass DMAX.:ro)

Yeah your right im more worried about blowing my truck up before that happens,

i thought i read somewhere on this forum that the lb7 utilizes a 16 bit program and the lly has 32 bit. I may be wrong and can stand to be corrected.

I would like to think the turbo is better. However I was talking about the two turbos with one of the local Diesel hot rod mechanics. He told me that the LLYs turbo can only flow about "Half" of what the LB7 turbo did.
Can anyone confirm or deny his claim???

What is the most Non Nitrous RWHP from an LLY so far. This guy told me he hasn't seen over about 375 RWHP. Isn't there someone here who has gone over 400? I would sure like to prove him wrong...

i think you should do your homework before speaking, and our turbo kicks ass compared to yours, the lb7 just plan olds "kick ass", just remember you made the mistake, not me):h

Brandon did 440hp at SC GTG w/ a single juice box :grd:

Some more O2 or N2O and could have been over 500?

On a pessimistic dyno, I saw an LLY push 440rwhp on #2 using 2 "off-the-shelf" tuners, not a "custom" tune.

There are reports starting to come in that the LLY will push 40PSI stacked.

Nobody knows yet whether the LLY will push more air than the LB7. Since there is no "boost controller/JuiceGrips" mod available, you need to program in the boost.

My guess is you are going to see 450rwhp very soon, and 500rwhp by summer.

LB7 = 2001 - 2004, hidden injectors, static turbo with wastegate, old style engine computer. Some have EGR, most don't.

LLY = 2004.5 and up, easy injector mount, variable vane turbo, new style engine computer, ALL have EGR.

I wish I had the 2001 LB7 back. LLY was a dissapointment.
