Does anyone know of a shop in the Rochester, NY area that knows anything about the Duramax engine and the Allison transmission? So far I've been to 3 Chevy/GMC dealers and most gave me the "Deer in the headlights" look when I mentioned something about the Allison transmission. It's in the shop right now for a few items before the factory warranty expires and they're telling me that the Grade Braking feature is only supposed to work in the Tow/Haul mode.

I never have a good feeling that my concern is fixed when I leave the local Chevy dealers. So, any help would be great!

John, I always received great service at Doyle Chevrolet in Webster. There is an allison service center off of Jeffferson (near the Home Depot)that I have bought filters from. They really know there stuff. I hope the link below works.

Try Conway in Henrietta... They were the best in the area for the 6.2, my guess is they will do great for your dmax.
