I know this has been beaten to death and ive read up on a lot and done all as well - BUT - here is the question that I have for the techs / experts ? Doesnt the turbo need the back pressure to some degree ? and if the blocker plate is doing its job, where is all that extra soot going ? and what type of effect will extra soot somewhere, and turbo not seeing the back pressure have ?

soot is going virtually no where, like down a dead end street and hanging out in the cul de sac. as for the turbo needing some degree of back pressure, no i dont think that it does. Am I a tech? No. An expert? No. but thats my 2 unqualified cents.

Pre turbo backpressure is what drives the turbo. There is no need for post turbo pressure. The ratio of pre turbo pressure to boost is a measure of turbo efficiency.

as far as the extra soot goes, it will eventually be sucked back out the exhaust, since it can't go into the egr valve. i'd rather it go out the exhaust instead of back into the engine. Thus causing the engine oil to remain cleaner longer. Cleaner oil sounds better to me.

Hey i read several post about the egr and i unpluged mine about 4000 miles ago with no problems or codes yet. i have got a picture of what i unpluged and was wondering if i unpluged the correct thing. thanks
