I'm ready to set up a lift pump & filter, and can't decide between a Nictane 1m setup w/twin TTS pumps - or an Airdog150. I like the Nicktane with the 1 micron filter, but am wondering if there is any real benefit to the Airdog's advertised air/vapor removal??

I have the raptor and Nicktane

I bought the nicktane first thats one of the reasons I didn't go with the airdog

The CAT filter is cheaper, avaliable locally, lasts longer and filters better

You cant go wrong either way and the airdog is cheaper then buying the nicktane and seperate lift pump(s)

I say Air Dog, just do it in one shot, I think the airdog pushes more psi than the TTS too

I just did the Nicktane and TTS pumps on my dually. I really like both products. The TTS tucks really nice under the truck and the Nicktane is easy to get filters for at a great price. Look in my garage for pic's.

Nick,
Thanks for the head's up. Your info & pic's helped me decide to go for the Nicktane & TTS twins. Once I can swing the titan tank $, I'll be copying your set up..

Still debating on either the Airdog 150 or the TTS duals or maybe another. I don'y really like the fact about drilling another hole in my tank for the Airdog pickup. Do the TTS pumps block airflow to the fuel cooler? I am also really thinking about doing the DIY Cat filter setup cause I can get them easier than the other. Could someone help me narrow it down please. Thank's, Adam

Yes the Nicktane is really nice. Easy to get the filters and cheap.

I am not sure about the air flow on the TTS pumps. I do know that they are a flow threw and you don't need to install a new outlet on your tank. We did a billet pick up on mine so we swapped the OE 3/8's side to the OE vent that was 5/8's and then the 3/8's turned into my vent out of the tank.

Maybe someone can help directly answer the airflow question...

The reason I'm still thinking about the TTS or so is that it's tucked up out of the way even after you do the DIY Cat filter setup. I'm thinking about adding some true train horns or Fog horns later on and want as much room as I can under there. Does the single Cat filter act like the same as the Airdog two filters do with the water separator and fuel filters? I also don't want the setup to hang down really any lower than the frame. That's why I'm thinking the Cat 750 filter
