Well i did it i hit my wifes mirror backing out of the garage it has auto dimming and heat. Just to let you guys know beware of the liquid in the mirror it's really bad stuff i had to buff the whole side of the truck and it also stained all the paint on the plastic and the molding. So make sure you get it off in time i learned the hard way. dave

Someone else did the same thing a year or 2 ago and reported the same problems. The liquid in these autodimming mirrors is very bad for paint and plastic.
