Hey guys
Just like everyone else trying to increase the ol MPG's. I tow a 5er but I thinking about putting a soft bed cover when I am not towing. Has any noticed big differance with or without bed covers.(big meaning more than .5-1mpg)

I am going to move this to the towing section. I think it will get better responses there. Also, it is not an engine specific thread! ;)

I have one I'm sure it help mpg's but the thing I love about it is it keeps the weather off my hitch and fuel tank.

I have a Lund tri-fold tonneau cover on my 3500 dually. I like it because it keeps everything covered and dry when not towing. When towing it still covers my generator that I carry in the front of the bed along with my toolbox and other stuff. As far as fuel savings I don't see any difference.

I have an Access roll up top. Works great except they need to seal the front corners. Some water will enter through there. MPG saving not noticeable.

I have a Truxedo Truxsport. Cheap and easy to operate/install.

I have a Roll Access on my current truck.
Next truck will have the same unless I find a better soft cover.
Never checked the milage before the cover went on. But is handy as hell for stuff in the box. out of site, out of mind......

Can you fold that cover the reverse direction?

Mine rolls up with the underside of the cover out. 2 straps hold the roll in place at the front of the box.
This what you are getting at?

My soft cover will roll so the top side is on the outside. It is a bit of a PIA to roll & unrool it that way. Looks neater than the regular way to roll it up.
