2005 Duramax 34K miles, Stock, No Modifications, 5 spd auto
Injectors changed at 30K
The following has happened twice, and the dealer hasn't found anything wrong yet. I think fuel pump, perhaps computer.
When accelerating to pass at 65 mph highway speed the truck sped up as usual and then bogged down and wouldn't exceed 65. Thereafter when stopped and merging onto a highway it wouldn't exceed 2K RPM's in any gear and would take a while to get to 65. If you try to accelerate as you normally do it wouldn't respond well, seems like it can't burn off the fuel you need to pass. This has happened twice in the last month and the dealer didn't find anything wrong, although I'm not convinced they did much but test drive it, and not under the conditions this has happened. Both times it has been on 100 plus mile trips, after I gave it some pedal. All the temps and gauges read fine. I just had the fuel filter changed and I always do the maintenance, change the tranny filter as well. It doesn't appear to be condensation in the fuel etc. as I use the additives and use reputable stations. It is going back to the dealer today as it can limp there. Any opinion would be appreciated.
Thank You
