Changed front diff. oil today and noticed lots of fine metal on magnet. No noise, 22000 miles, taking to dealer for repairs. Any known problems like this.

Break in material, normal I'd say.

Normal break-in for the gears. Don't sweat it. There should be little if any from now on.

I already changed it once, it should have been cleaner this time.

Pretty much will always be there. Every front diff sevice I do has it. I think its just typical of the GM front diff, why else would they have put a magnetic drain plug in?
