in the process of building my 08 5500 LYE and am ready to move on to the tranny. has anybody done transmission work on a brand new topkick allison 6 speed, or have the info i need (part #'s) to make ordering the right parts as easy and painless as possible. need a TC, transgo, and all the other stuff to handle very heavy loads, and a heavier foot.

her are some pics. i plan on calling suncoast anyway, just hoping somebody could save me the trouble of dealing with this stuff with some guy in another state over the phone. guess i dont have a choice.

i will post #'s and prices after i find out what i need to order. hopefully tomorrow!

I don't have an 08, but I have a fresh tranny. I don't plan on going over 500hp at the wheels. I went with a transgo, suncoast 1054 converter, and a high flow valve.. Mine is being installed thursday..

I spoke to suncoastconverters and they were very helpful you need to give them a call and tell them what you are looking to get out of your truck

I am pushing 500HP depending on my tune...and Mike L did my trans. Works flawlessly and he is currently developing a trans cooler for our trucks too.
