My Truck is totaly stock except a K&N Air Filter.
I noticed a huge amount of black smoke everytime i push the trottle wide open, eighter from a stop or on highway speed, but it only happens the firs acceleration after a wile driving, the 2nd is a lot better!
I also noticed a hesitation at this time.

any advise?

Thanks guys

its one of two things first it could be a bad injector a GM garage can test these by just plugging her in. second it could be your turbo vayne sensor could be stuck. its the sensor in the round housing in the middle of the turbo and there is like a little plunger in side this housing and they have a trend to stick some times. i had this problem and i spent over 3 grand to find out that it was just the plunger stuck for controlling the vaynes.. hope this helps

If you baby it most of the time, there is a build up of soot in muffler and cat. This is normal black smoke. The lag is turbo lag. If you role into the throttle there will be less lag and better exceleration. To get rid of lag you need a progamer.

Clean your MAF sensor. The oil from the K&N gets on it and screws things up. Also when is the last time you changed your fuel filter?

X2- Had problems with K&N. The oil can really screw thing up. No more K&N. Back to stock and no more problems.

thanks for the infos so far.
changed my fuel filter last week, didn`t help...

had my truck already once at the dealer, because of this issue, they told me is a normal diesel smoke. but for me it seems way to mutch without a programmer.
the hesitation i just realised the other day...

it`s not the turbo lag I feel,
because the hesitation appears only on some accelerations...
