On my IH 484 I took it down the road to mark out a spot for more water melons and on my way back at full throttle it started to drop rpm, then it would go back up some then drop again. After I got it home I noticed bubbles in the injectore return lines. It ran great but only did this at full throttle.

This was about 3 days ago and it took alot of cranking to get it to start today.

Could it be sucking air in somplace? Ive only been into diesels for a few years now so I dont know it all.

Im running regular diesel, I havent changed the fuel filters yet. Parts for this are hard to find and the case IH dealer is about 40 miles one way from here. I also just found out that IH 484s have a canister type fuel filters. Mine has 2 glass bowls under a filter.

I would change out the filters dont have to be genuine case go to your nearest fleetguard dealer since thats what case always sold me or just hit a local napa. Also clean out the sight glasses see what in those will tell ya how dirty filters are. Maybe fire it up and crack the fuel lines while she runs to bleed out the air not sure as to if those had hand primers on fuel pump like bigger IH had

Nope no hand primers, I looked at the glass bowls and there is nothing in them, do dirt that is. I think one filter has writing still on it, I would imagine both filters are the same.

Well guys I found the leak, it revealed itself to me today. And of course it had to happen while I was down the road away from the house.

5gal of my dads fuel went missing a few weeks ago, about the same time the 484s fuel gauge went up 1/4.:confuzeld

2 days ago I ran to the gas station with a can and I think I was at $26.00 and had like 4.6gal. I sure as hell dont want to leak that out. I think this leak already took at least 1 gal.
