05 LLY that is taking a long time to start. After it starts it smokes alot when accelerator is allplied like its really rich. Does not have a programmer installed. Once in a while it will start ok. Starts evry time with starting fluid. 5" of vacuum on fuel pump. Could it be computer? Could the fuel pump be bad even with good vacuum readings? Any help would be much appreciated. Truck has been down for over a month.

Do not use starting fluid to start these trucks-- BOOM! Blows the air assemble!
Next time you want to start raise the hood and pump the primer button until hard-- if it starts fine-- you may have a leak in the filter housing-- filter gasket-- bleeder screw-- WID sensor-- or hose.
These truck do not have a fuel pump-- only the CP3 which draws fuel from the tank.

X3 - Don't use starting fluid on these engines! Your better off pushing that thing home uphill before using a can of that stuff.
