I've read a lot about the poor quality diesel fuels in the states suck to say the least and this causes issues with the Bosch injectors which like the higher quality fuel in europe.
Does anyone know if the quality of diesel in Canada is better then that in the states?

I've run my Kenworth all over Canada and the US! I've never had a problem with Canadian fuel, and only once I ran into a really bad fill in Utah, my KW doesn't smoke, and for some reason, after that fill, I could leave two black clouds of smoke every time I stood on it! After the next fill, everything was OK again!
Generally as long as you fuel up at a decent place, that you either, know that the tanks are newer, or that you can actually see a filter on the outside of the pump, you should be OK!!
PS. I have a buddy with a 64 RIV, 425 with dual quads, nice car! I have a '65 skylark GS with a 401, neat engines!:cool2:

The 64 is parked and waiting to get worked on but not until I get into a house. I have a 455 dropped in it with a turbo400 tranny. The nailhead was in the 63 and the 65 but 64 had the 425 in them for the rivs. The 455 I have is a buick version instead of a common Pontiac or Olds version. All 3 quite different.
With fuels, I would probably only end up using Petro Canada and I beleive Sunoco has a "diesel gold". Esso has diesel as well. The one thing up north is we have limited Sellers of gas and especially diesel. In the states there are stations I've never heard of lol.
What brands in the states are the best? I make trips to Mississippi, Indiana and Michigan each year.
