Has anyone used a towtector rockguard on the new lmm? If so how do you route exhaust thru the fiber? Would a double aluminum plate with a 5 in. hole work? thanks for any advise. john 2008 gmc lmm cc 4x4

I had the same issue. Didn't want the AL as it would spark if it bottomed out on the pavement. I ended up putting a mbrp dfp back on it as it sticks out the side like it should. Works great, and looks better.

I just got back from a fishing trip to valdez ak and on up to manley hot springs ak, drove a total of 8112 miles. 200 miles gravel under 25 mph, lots of mountain driving under 4000 ft. used 555 gals fuel, av 14.616 miles gal. pulled a alum boat with tall cabin and covered, boat trailer and motors and gear 5500 lbs. total truck and trailer 3 adults and gear almost 15,000 lbs. My truck is mostley stock with a fiberglass topper, towtector rock guard, 3000 watt 110 invertor, firestone air bags, dee zee ss running boards, 120 gal custom made aluminum bed tank with gravity flow. Pulled the boat in and out sometimes 3 times a day for 14 days in light rain most of time. came home with 10 cu ft freezer plugged in to invertor with 350 lbs of seafood, boat had lots of gear, shrimp pots, gas pot puller, 1800 ft lead rope and lots of other gear and tent equipment. The truck ran great, with no problems whatever. Had the oil changed at fairbanks ak at gmc dealer at 8300 miles had 4100 on it when i left. GMC dealer was total disaster, first said it required synthec oil to maintain warranty, then put gas oil in mixed with GM oil and napa oil. lubed 2 of the 11 zerks. They finally found delo 400 oil and drained gas oil out and added delo. I had 03,05,06,07 duramax's but this is by far the best. I would post some pictures but don't know how. thanks for looking john

.......... fuel, av 14.616 miles gal. ......... lubed 2 of the 11 zerks. .

Not bad MPG for the load and speeds.

So can anyone list where all 11 zerks are located for those of us doing our own LOF's soon?

:)

Moved to the Towing section. Nothing engine specific about the thread!
