I have a 2003 Silverado LB7 with the Banks Six Gun/Speed Loader, Banks Monster Exhaust, A-Pillar Guages,K&N Intake, Stereo System,285 BFG AT's, etc.
I bought this truck used in August 04' with 19,000 miles on it. I was a newbie to diesels when I bought this truck, I immediately got the oil changed, Trans Oil Changed, Glow Plugs changed, tires rotated, fuel filter changed. I used AMSOIL Products and filters for lubricants. I know I wasted about 500 bucks with the glow plugs, dumb move on my part. After I got all that done, my truck seems to make some blue smoke sometimes when its cold, sometimes its a small puff, sometimes its enough to "cloud the area". The other night I hit it hard with my chip all the way up, and the first three runs my truck ran hard, Tons of Black smoke!! (I love diesel smoke!!), but on the fourth run it shot out a cloud of either blue or white then a ton of black, I couldnt really tell from my mirror. Ive taken my truck to the dealer about the problem and they said they "scanned" it and nothing was wrong. I have put about 10k miles on the truck and It still runs with only a replaced A/C panel, and serpentine belt. I think I have an injector issue, I tried to help the problem by running Powerservice diesel treatments (since day 1 of having truck) and adding a nicktane fuel filter kit. Can anyone give me a heads up as to what is going on with my truck, or if im a hypocondriact (spelled wrong) thanks and sorry for such a long post. Please email me at JhnZ71@Aol.com

It's a diesel it will smoke. Oil burning complete and incomplete will go from shades of blue ,gray which might look white and black.

Unless your consuming crankcase oil I wouldn't worry. When I start my truck on a cold mourning it will smoke blue like scary ,once warmed up a bit notta!

Enjoy the ride
