There's no "magical catalyst" that can significantly alter the physical properties of fuel in a pass-through passive pipe. Mpg can be varied up to 4 or 5 mpg by just changing drivers or slightly altering driving style without being aware of it. If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is.

Snake oil. Save your money for fuel, you're gonna need it.

I want to try it, but that costs $$$... Of which I have little :rolleyes: best way to know if something works or not, is to try it out, I like to form my own oppinion on things, call it personal preference.

For 1/2 the price of the fuel catalyst, I'd be willing to mail you a "truck incantation" for better mileage. For 2x, I can include up to 3 vehicles.

My guarantee is iron clad. You will get a small piece of paper to stick on the dash board that says, "SLOW DOWN!".

{If you print that off, I get 50 bucks!}

would you believe in a little device that converts exhaust gases to less harmful gases and all you have to do is put it in line to save the enviroment, (friendly sarcasm). I have not used but read on it. its not a MLM scam, and advertised as a catalyst, somewhat like an exhaust cat. their site does have tech data, and have seen many large companies selling it. not shure, it sounds plausable but tough to part w/270 bucks to try. would help on performance tuner/programmer use.

One for my Mack is nearly 2000 bucks. I told them if they sent one out I would put it on. If it worked as they said I would pay for it and advertise for them for free. I run an engine dyno and the advertising would be good there, I would also plug it on the highway if it worked on my Mack. They still have not sent one........

Lots of reading here:

including some actual user reports of, guess what?

Snake oil and wasted money.

I'd try the fuel pills, fuel line magnets, tornado air intake and maybe a magic dangling review mirror power crystal if I were you.

A platinum oxide catalyst running in a 1000 degree exhaust stream is a bit different from a piece of 1" pipe containing "magic ju-ju beans" running at ambient temperature and pressure for a total contact time of less than a second with flowing fuel oil. IF it were a chemically active catalyst, it would be depleted in minutes. It CAN'T be a thermally active catalyst, and I know of of NO catalytic compound (not taken from a crashed saucer in Area 51) that will "alter" diesel fuel in this application. That "little device that converts exhaust gases to less harmful gases and all you have to do is put it in line to save the enviroment" has warnings that it will start grass fires - (friendly sarcasm right back at you.):p:
