I am having some stalling issues. If I have to stop quickly the engine will die but it will start after cranking for about 10 seconds and run fine until I have to stop quickly again. That does not scare me too much but when it is hot it does not crank very well (probably because the starter is hot). I was wondering if someone has the same problem? I just dont know how air could get into the fuel from a hard stop.

Somebody with more knowledge will chime in for sure... But I am pretty sure its a Tourque Converter issue.

How could the torque converter cause the motor to stall out after a hard brake?

it stays locked, or binds up causing it to act like a clutch works in a standard when you stop fast....bam stall out....my dads pontiac sunbird did this...it was actually hilarious

Try tossing the trany in neutral and then stand on the brakes and see what happens. Could also be an under hood wiring issue.

I will try that tomorrow and let you know.
