I started a thread not too long ago about faulty turn signals, ya know, the hazards coming on. Went to the dealer to have it fixed and they replaced the multi function switch. Problem solved right? Nope. Started doin' it again tonite on the way home:mad: Censored :confused: .
I want to go back and tell the dealership its doin' it again and have them fix it properly. But, Im kinda scared that they will end up trying to blame it on my fingers stick, cb radio, or something aftermarket that I wired into the truck if I put them through too much trouble to get my signals to work properly.

I was told that they wouldn't be able to find the problem unless it was doing it when you brought it in. I had the same thing happen to me for a day when I first got my truck. I pulled the fuse out for the turn signals and drove it for a day like that. It hasn't happened since I put the fuse back in.

I missed this thread..what exactly happens? do the hazard lights just come on by themselves?

yeah. I hit the signal to go right and both come on. Im sure its freaked out or at least slightly confused more than one other driver on the road. I hate road morons and hate even more looking like one because my damn signals are screwy. only does it going right and not everytime, but once is one too many times if you ask me. if i got in a wreck as a result of this malfunction Id be livid.

whoa...I just had this happen the other day and thought I was seeing things. I hooked my trailer up and tested the signals and both sides were blinking when I did either the left or right side.. first time I have ever seen that happen. Like I said, i thought I was seeing things.

i thought so too at first. then it began to happen more and more frequently and I knew I wasnt crazy.

just a note which may help. all the turn signals,etc, run though the hazzard switch. in the steering column, (i think, going off year old memory) I had multiple places check my wiring for a trailer..worked off and on .... long stories short, if i held to hazzard swith to the side everything worked fine, haven't had a problem since. but the golf tee which hold the switch over falls out every know and then.:D

Point being, if you run out of ideas....try diagnosing the hazzard relay.
