Today while driving home I noticed the ABS light on my dash was on. Brakes fell fine and appear to work as normal. As soon as I got home I grabbed my book and went to looking for the problem. I jumped the "A" and "H" pins and got a DTC code 37 at first. This is the Erratic vehicle speed sensor signal. I then reset the code as my manual says too and now I get a normal 12 code. sounds great BUT the light stills stays on. Comes on for the 2 second bulb check then off for a couple seconds then pops back on. No codes this time and my manual troubleshooting guide points to the BPMV. how to be sure before I shell out big bucks to replace a good part?

my ABS and park brake light come on and blink and flash and chirp and whatever else it does about once a week. brakes work good with it on but I don't have ABS. All I do to fix it is shut the truck off, take out the key, open and close the door, then restart it and its gone. Don't know why but you have to open and close the door to get it to work! This problem has never thrown a code though strange enough.

My ABS quit on me years ago. I am indifferent about having it work, so I pulled the ABS fuse. Dash light comes on as soon as I start to move forward or backward. Eliminate the simple before considering the complex - maybe your fuse is out?

I believe I have checked all the fuses for the ABS BUT I might not have found them all if their are more than one. I will look again for more fuses. Any more ideas?
