Can anyone show me where the 2 thermostats are on an 03 LB7? I'm looking to change them and coolant. What coolant do you recommend? Thank you.

I haven't done it yet, but I was planning on doing it today or tomorrow. Are the t-stats located near the oil fill tube? Looks like theres a housing there with two stats in that. But I haven't taken anything apart yet because I just want to make sure.

yes, just follow the upper rad hose/tube back towards the engine.

although the t-stats do not HAVE to be removed....

I think this info should be in the DIY.... although it is searchable..

I read the articles. When I refill the system with antifreeze, do I add it to the surge tank? Or is there a radiator cap on the radiator elsewhere that I don't know about? If its through the surge tank, once the coolant has reached the add or full lines than its good to start the truck and run the new antifreeze through the engine than right? I know on some cars that coolant tanks don't drain when you drain the radiator, I take it the surge tank on this truck will drain when I drain the radiator, right?

Thanks for the help.
