I have had no problems, just the re-flash for the recall, 18 minutes in and out. I tow heavy and have plenty of HP and Torq, no gadgets all stock just like GM made it. GBY....

I had a fully loaded toybox at 9000 lbs, and I think the truck liked it better then empty.

We pull a 16000 lb., 38 ft fifth wheel with the bone stock truck in my sig. No problems pulling anywhere we want to go. The mileage is another thing. Just pulled 452 miles from Oceanside to Brentwood (near San Francisco) with cruise control set at 65 most of the way. Used 50.554 gallons of expensive diesel. That calcs out to 8.9444 mpg. Could probably do better at a slower speed, but that’s no fun.

Enjoy your new truck.

Just did my first trip with my new truck. I am very very happy with the truck and it's performance. Did a 300 mile round trip at about 62 MPH and the truck averaged 11.2 MPG. Plenty of power for me, don't think I'll make any mods. Wish I had made the move to the Dmax long ago. The truck only had 600 miles on it before the trip.

Granted, I have an LBZ, but I just towed my 5th wheel from Vegas to Laughlin over the weekend, and had no problems. There are a couple decent grades, but I set the truck at 65 mph, and just ran up the hills. Passing boats and Motorhomes all over the place. :D

The only thing I did was put the truck in manual while I was climbing so I didn't get shifting back and forth. Averaged just shy of 11 mpg for the trip.
