Is it safe to stack tuners? For example, I have an edge tuner, can I also use a hand held in conjunction with the edge? Will this cause problems?

No codes, nothing like that? No issues?

on a stock trans you will want to watch out. you also dont want 2 tuners doing the same thing. you can get in trouble that way. such as to much timing. if i were you id just find something that can do it all rather then spend money on a bunch of things.

X2 on the trans warning. I fried my stock trans early on stacking the Edge and a Predator. I wasn't very hard on it but it doesn't take much extra and you'll be forking out for a tranny.

i have been running the stock tranny and the edge on 5 and the predator on 40 for around 10,000 miles now. I have limped it twice now but only because i wasnt paying attention and rolled it in 5th on the highway. I run around with it the turned up for fuel mileage and just plain forgot and went to pass and it limped.

Also, it will smoke like no other max around. I can shut down an entire highway. Cant turn the predator up past 40 for very long. Its starts running out of fuel.

you start having issues where the to programmers start working against each other and add way too much timing or fuel. Get a ppe or efi live and tune it the right way and be on your way. I know of many people stcking and thats fine and all but they did there reasrch nd I just felt efi live was the way to go...

If you got efi live you wouldn't need to stack. You could do your own programming then. But stacking if not careful can harm the transmission, and be hard on other parts of the truck. Like injectors and the cp3

with out a lift pump and a big tune you are hard on a CP3 my buddy shoot his running a 500hp tune non stop.

Stacking didn't work very well for me. The transmission was done and I wanted more power than the Edge but also wanted to keep the Attitude monitor. With the Edge on stock, a PPE Hot +2 smoked something terrible on any tune past 4 but it went like crazy on 6 through 8. On 4 it didn't smoke, so I left it there and played with the Edge. On the dyno, PPE on 4 and Edge on 5 produced considerably less power than the Edge on 5 with no PPE. I just didn't want to mess with taking one tune out then putting another one in. This was BEFORE the twin turbos. Even with a stock turbo, EFI Live and DSP5 switch is the way to go on an LLY.
