No you dont have to regear. I just put 285/75/16s and love them. Im out of town working so all I did was jackup my bars and 2" spacers from Rick`s. I will be sticking a Level Kit underneath when I get home. But heres Nicks 08 with the 295s. Great write up..... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=229623

thanks for the input as far as regearing it that would make the whole reason for bigger tires and lowering my rpm for better mpgs not work

I love my 285's, still a lot of power and lower rpm's on the freeway.

Dude it's not the RPM's that are killing your mileage it's the 80 mph. Lowering the RPM's will probably help some but you'll still be pushing a lot of air which is what really sucks the fuel down.

I put 285/75/16s under mine last week. You`ll need wheel spacers under the rear. I dont know how clearness will be under the front of a dodge. But I dont hink you`ll have a problem.

I have stock rims but I have a 2 1/2" spacer. a 1 1/2" would work too. that is the same size tire I have on my 6 inch wide rims.

Bad thing about 1 1/2" spacers is that your are going to have to cut the ends off your studs for them to work.
