I'm swapping headliners with a truck that has an overhead DVD player - how hard is it to do this? Are they bolted or glued in place? I need to put mine in the doner truck in good condition for the swap. The one in his truck has the brace for the DVD and the DVD player. Any tips would be appreciated.

Remove all of the side trim pieces and it will drop down. You may need to remove the front seats.

Trim pieces just pull off, straight out right?

I was told that to get the entire head liner out of the truck the back window has to be removed. Good luck

I was wondering how it would fit out a door - guess it won't - may not do this project then.

Friends of mine own a shop that installs leather seats and aftermarket sun roofs. They have to recover the headliners after they cut them to install the sun roof. They break the headliner in the middle over their heads to get them out. Then just put fabric on the headliner and you'd never know.
I think this would be the only way to get the headliner completely out.

a chevy headliner is very easy to drop.in order to get it out you will have to remove front or rear glass it dont matter.the hard part is the wire harness do not cut that, you will need to get to the place where it hooks in and it a pita to get to
