How many miles are you guys getting on BFGs on 20" rims? Ive got barely over 20,000 miles and the tires are almost shot.

Stop road racing! I got 40k+ from my last set of BFG A/T's.

I have only spun the tires like 2 times since I had the truck. I rotate them every 5,000 miles religiously. I was thinking maybe it was the 20" rims?

I got 55K+ on a set of 16's and 40K+ on a set of 20's.

I got 50k on my first set. Then I got the banks kit. Now my rears are almost shot at 30k and the fronts have barely worn. ):h

265-75R16's just took em off today at 46+/- thousand miles. They were on the 2500 gasser though so no burnouts .... ever. I think I would have got 50K but I put a plow on this winter.

Now I am trying a set of General AT2's. If they get 40K it will be a hell of a deal. The tire place I go to was out of BFG E rated so I tried the Gens. i dont drive the truck much myself anyway.

You really have to watch the air pressure with BFG's if you run to much last!

Coming up on about 40K. They've done well and I should be able to get another 5 before I replace 'em.

i've been running about 55 psi for about 10k miles and am probably at 1/2 tread just bumped it up to 62 psi with last tire rotation for maybe 1 more mpg ? So i guess i will be tire shopping again this fall, i hate having crappy tire in winter  .

I'm at 21,000 and just about done with these tires. Thinking about some Toyo AT's or Nitto Terra Grappler's. I just can't see another $420 per tire for only 21,000 miles.

When I saw the 20" wheel size I just assumed that your BFG's are standard load, but after looking at the BFG site the 20" rim size come in load range D or E.
Could be the 20" but I doubt it, maybe the PSI your running is low, or your go pedal sticks.

They are load range D. I try to always keep 50 psi in them. My go pedal is a little heavy, but never spinning the tires.

well, said to heck with it and bought some Toyo Open Country AT's. Hopefully I will have a little better luck with these.

I had better luck with a bfg mud in a 285 than a bfg a/t 285 on a stock pyo.The muds lasted about 10k or more miles. The muds in a 285 seemed narrower to me than the a/ts did, they did'nt seemed to be crowned up in the middle as much. I also ran about 50 psi all the way around on both the a/t and the m/ts, with rotations every other oil change or every 10k.

I've been using 285/75/16 all terrains. I've gone through 5 complete sets at 120,000 miles so that's about 24,000 a set. I tried Yokohama's once and lost two tires within my first 30 miles off road. Even though BFG's wear down fast, I've only had one tire fail and that was after hitting a rock so hard it bottomed the tire to the rim.

I've got 285's on my work truck with probably 45,000 hard miles on them and still at least 10 to 15K on them. Trying to see if BFG will warranty some of the 325's. Oh well. The Toyo's look and ride great. Hopefully I can get some mileage out of them.

I have the toyo M/T's and they suck. They get great mud and snow traction but don't last long. I have 14K and don't see them making it trough the summer. I was going to get bfg's but I don't know

I had a set of 285's on my 94 Z71 diesel that I got 90,000 miles out of them. They still had some tread left but I ready for some new tires. Just kept them rotated and balanced every 10000 miles.

35,000 on 265/75/16 A/T's Stock power was running to them, and they were rotated every 5,000 miles

23k out of my BFGs.
18k out of my Terra Grappler ATs.
14k on Toyo MTs and less than half the tread is left and they cost $350 more...

I have BFG A/T 265/75/R16 E.
- 16K (REAR) Bald
- No burn outs.
- Rotate at 6K
- (FRONT) just past the tread wear indicators.
- 06 Ext Cab

Buddy has BFG A/T 265/75/R16 D
- 38K (Plenty left)
- Burn outs and hard driving.
- Rotate 5K
- 07 CC

Apparently some to do with the construction of the "E" verses the "D". BFG advises that since the tire is mounted to the Alcoa GM wheels their is nothing they can do. They advise that the wheel is too narraow for for that tire size and to get a wider wheel next time.

70K miles on 315 AT's running 35-40 psi. 35K on my second set. Rotated my first set three times. I've only done my second set once but they are due for another.
