had this done to my truck with 2 10s have to run an adapter so you can get rca from amp to deck not worth it. can barely hear the subs had to put an aftermarket head unit in then the sound came alive

Do you have the Bose system, if so it can be done but it has to get its power before the Bose amp. You will need a line out converter (LOC) to get RCA outputs to your aftermarket amp. There are certain LOC that will work with the bose and others will not. The best thing to do is go to your local sound system shop and ask for their input and they should get you going in the right direction.

i also did the same thing, i liked the stock cd player but i still wanted a bigger sound sys. so i had a buddie that owns a Custom Trucks shop drop in two Kicker compvx 12s and they sounded like some REALLY cheap, pour quality 10s. After that i had him put head unit and totally gut the bose sys. with amp and put all new kicker tweeters and mids. with two, 1000w amps and now i drive all around Houston overpowering all that rap music with some good ol Lynyrd Skynyrd, David Allen Coe, or some old Metallica... hahahha
