I see that many of the experienced pullers move their recievers forward, has anyone toyed with moving them up into the frame instead of bolting them under the frame?

Yes, I have done this on many trucks. It is much stronger and it helps when you are setting up the truck to get it to pull smooth with no bounce. If you are looking for one let me know.

It has become common place to say a "Reece style" hitch must bolt under the frame. So many clubs you can not do this.

I've got a hitch made by Bubba 2400 that bolts between the frame rail not under it like stock. So far it has passed inspection just fine since it is a reese style hitch. The hitch make the truck pull really smooth, even on rough tracks like the DHRA had in Indy. Definately makes a difference. But, I do have another hitch that bolts under the frame that I always take with me just incase they have a "must be under frame" rule. I've got mine setup so that it only take about 15 minutes to change hitches. The hitch between the frame rails can be left in place so all I have to do is bolt on the other and then change the adjustable hitch from reciever to reciever.

High roller hell, obviously you haven't taken a good look at my truck.:D It's got more 3pt hitch drawbars than most tractors do. By just looking at both trucks, I'd say you're the high roller, hell I don't even have my very own custom practice sled.:( :D

Congrats on 3rd in Findlay Matt.

Any pix of the hitch between the frame rails?
