What other performance upgrades would anyone recommend for my 2002 8.1? A Supercharger would be nice, but I am not looking to spend that much. I have a custom exhaust, programmer and air filter already. Will any additional upgrades make it less reliable?
Thanks,
Doug

Look at doing some headers, new heads, or intake...though you have pretty much covered the less expensive mods...now its time to dump some coin if you want more ponies.
gasser,
Any recommendations on headers, intake or new heads?

Stainless works has long tube headers $720
See raylar engine for the only heads and intake mainfold, but the package will cost the same as a S/C. $6000
Comp cams has three cam avail. $375
Performance PCM(tuned for your mods)$500
1.8 ratio rockers with nuts $289
stiffer valve springs from comp cams $80 to $120
Nirtous setup $580 to $1000

TOGs(other guys) are around $799 to $899 and a mid-lenght headers.
Long tubes are better and cheaper.
To me I feel that, eight indiviual coils, one for each spark plug. prety hard to improve already. So saved your money for, heads and intake.
This motor want to breathe. Choked majorly by the factory.

I would recommend a cam upgrade ether Raylar's 101 or Comp Cam's 170. Raylar's cam is a little bigger but with 1.8 rockers on Comp's is very similar to Raylar's. Toss the programmer and get mail order ECU. If you do a cam, springs are a must. Reliability should not be a issue unless you get stupid like I do.:duh:

I just swapped in a PCM's for less tune into my 2004 6.0. Although not like the pull of a diesel, this thing really woke the 6.0 up. Much better in the mid range and shifts a lot better also. Overall, for the one mod I made, I'm pretty impressed...
