: Cheetah???
04BlackSmoker 06-08-2008, 10:08 PM Looking for some good info on these turbo's? What would be the better one to go wih, the 64 or 70mm? What would the power diff. be? What are they both putting out for hp/tq and boost? What would the class be for them, 2.?? I have the hot+2 for tuning... How would they compare to the gt4094 and htt? I seen that the 70mm cheetah is a vvt 4094, is the vv better than just the 4094? Any info would be great thanks...
04BlackSmoker 06-09-2008, 09:30 PM isnt there alot of you guys running them?????
LBZrcks 06-09-2008, 09:43 PM There is quite a few out there imo, haven't seen many 1/4 times yet. I'm not sure how the ppe tuner will work with a cheetah since they seem to need custom tunning to get the full potential out of them.
05 bullet 06-09-2008, 09:52 PM Well from what I know 600/1300 area for power and in the 40+ psi for boost. As far as class to run in if you wanted to be honest 25 mm = 1 inch so 2.56 and 2.80 but you can run the stock class with them. As far as tuning you are running can't say as far as I know most peope with them run efi live. Best option is to pm Brayden or jneal for any detailed info
AGGAR 06-09-2008, 09:55 PM Stingpuller was in the power challenge with one. He got 4th with one on his LBZ. There's quite a few with them. They might not check in here as often as they used too.
04BlackSmoker 06-09-2008, 10:04 PM hope they start again soon...LOL... I need all the help and info ican get. Wanting to figure out what turbo to go with why I have my trans out and truck apart and doing other stuff to it.... Thanks for the help so far all
LBZrcks 06-09-2008, 10:08 PM try filling out a sig too what kind of truck do you have?
AGGAR 06-09-2008, 10:11 PM Yeah Fill out your sig so we can help you out better. PM Brayden or jneal
Stingpuller 06-09-2008, 10:33 PM I run the 70mm on a LBZ. Unless you are towing very heavy I would go with the 70. It will spool as fast or faster than stock. The onlt times at the track with mine was at the DPC and that is at high alt. I run 12.30's with some NOS, But everyone there was having trouble spooling there charger and I didn't. Last year most of the A5K trucks were runing roughly the same times at that alt. so I would say it works pretty well. P.S. I had to tow home with the "race" truck because the tow truck broke down. Call Brayden and i'm sure you will be happy. Thanks Jeff
Brayden 06-09-2008, 10:42 PM Best way to get a hold of us is via email or the shop phone. 765.676.5063
You won't be disappointed with the Cheetah's :)
04BlackSmoker 06-09-2008, 11:09 PM Sig filled out....
04llygmc 06-09-2008, 11:56 PM I love mine. Best quarter so far was a 13.1. That was with a 2. something 60' -:t. Installed traction bars this past weekend, going to track again soon.
beach_33 06-10-2008, 12:01 AM i havent been to the track yet but i am going to a 1/8th mile track this friday. so i can give you some kind of idea of what they will run. i will be hitting the dyno in 2 weeks but i am not sure what kin of dyno it is. i dont think it is a load dyno so i dont know exactly how it will do. and on top of that i wont be the person running it. i dont really feel very good about it i heard last year the guy was dragging the brakes to get the turbo to spool

Nice!

X2 it's just a waste of your time and $ if the dyno isn't suited for your truck. I would try and find a better one if possible
LarryJewell 06-10-2008, 10:57 AM Not sure how the PPE would react with a Cheetah, but with EFI you can defintely have some fun with it. I havent been to the track yet, G-tech times show mid to upper 13's and running a time calculator based on an EFI log I get very low 13's. This is with 2 second 60' times and 2wd.
Chevy HD 06-10-2008, 06:11 PM I put down 535 and 1000 at Danville in April. That was on a very conservative tune with low timing and low fuel. EGT's won't get over 1400. I'm also still draining the rail even with my KD pumps. I'm going to have Brayden put on an Air Dog lift pump this weekend if I can get down to his shop to see if that solves my problems along with a slightly hotter tune. Should lay down 550 easily I would say. I agree with Larry EFI is a must to get the most out of a Cheetah. The whistle alone is worth the money it sounds like a jet there is a video of it in my garage :D
gotboost 06-10-2008, 07:12 PM I just bought a 70mm , had my injectors honed, and EFI live from Fleece, anxious to get it all installed. Give Brayden or Chase a call, they are very helpful and selling top notch products!
