I just installed a Juice/Attitude in my truck. My tranny is stock and I was wondering what some safe slip % numbers were both while locked and unlocked. Just want to monitor to keep from damaging the tranny right now. I am planning to run level 3 mostly and level 4 on occasion.(not towing) Is level 5 a no no for the most part? I drive aggressively but I don't beat the hell out of it like some around here do.
Thanks guys!:ro)

Ive had my old 4.61 hot juice (no attitude) for two years. For normal, non-towing driving I run in level 3 (90 hp) with tow-haul in 4 (125 hp), except in the winter when I back it off to 0 for non tow-haul driving. This is a commuter vehicle driven about 1000 miles a week, not a hot rod, only a couple of brake stands when I first put the juice on. Ive got 65,000 miles on my tires with lots of tread to go so Im not abusing it. Never limped. I like punching it when I merge into traffic, and the responsive acceleration it gives in cut n thust highway driving. So compared to most Im pretty easy on it. My Ali on level 3 and 4 now flares-hangs between shifts, particularly on the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts. Id keep it under 90 hp, even then it looks like your taking long term life out of it.

I just installed mine and it seems that 11 to 20% is normal (on my truck) during everyday driving on level 1 thru 3. This is what Edge told me is the safe range as well. When in 5th gear it should read 0%.
BTW, does anyone know what MODTemp is? I have it as an option for a display parameter but the book says nothing about it. It's always says 0 when I watch it. Also, what is the temp the Edge starts working? I know it has to reach normal operating temps, but I usually don't get on it til 180°.

I have a suncoast setup...one of the low stages....clutches and single disk convertor....anyway, I have driven my truck like I stole it on level 5 (125) for two years now. I see it bounce between 0 and 2% when I'm really on it and it's locked up.
Much more than that and your just burning up your torque convertor. When the TC is not locked it can slip into the 50 or 60% range.....thats normal.

That's good. I see 0 to 5% slip when locked and I'm all in it on level 4. My tranny is stock. When unlocked, I see 40 to 50% slip while under heavy acceleration and shifting. So I guess I'm pretty good. My truck has 130,000 miles on it. Just put the Juice on it last week. Wanted to see how my high mile tranny compared to others. Looks as if it is holding it's own.
More input would be great!
