I was rebuilding my tranny and had to remove the rear of the tranny to realign something. The gasket was already in it and when I pulled it apart it soaked the gasket. They are the green gaskets that come with the transgo kit.

Can I reuse the gasket and just dry it off or do I need to replace it with a new dry one?

If the gasket's in one piece it should be fine. When I build an Allison especially with the green Transgo gaskets I coat them with WD-40 to make them reuseable (old Holley carb trick).
