Anyone figured out a mod to run an airvent to the back seat of a 07 LMM? My dog rides on the floorboard in the back and it sure would be nice to find a way to run a vent hose back there under the console or somewhere.

Mine already has air vents on the backside of the console. I assume they work for both conditioning and just air. It should be something you could get standard parts for and install, but just opening the widows would be a lot cheaper. ;)

New ones don't have floor vents in the back? The older ones do. That surprises me. You might be able to get ones out of and older model and figure a way to get them under your carpet and cut in to the airbox.

there should be (havn't looked yet, but it is there on the classic) a vent for the floor pos. I take the 2 middle vents and aim them at the dome light in the middle of the truck, it keeps the kids cool; should work for a dog as well???

GM removed the rear air vents on all the new new body style trucks....im not missing something that I am supposed to have...just something that it NEEDS to have like the older trucks.

Actually the NBS Avalanches do have vents in the back of the console. It looks like a new panel for the back of the console, a new console bin and an air duct are needed to make it work. There is a stub in the HVAC duct in the very front of the console area that is open, and it looks like the Avalanche duct slips over it to direct air through the console to the vents.

My dealer printed out the exploded parts view of the console for me, but was unable to get prices on a couple of the parts. He is supposed to call me back this week with the info.

Looks very doable - stay tuned!!

Are you serious? It seems like they remove something every year. What are they going to leave out next year, Maybe the cab....Just weld a lawnchair to the frame!?!?

Yup just another in the long list of things that GM is slowly getting rid off...like the button that allows indepent control of the cargo light. What good does the cargo light do me if I cant see out the back glass bc the interior lights are on too.

My 7.5 LMM Ext. Cab has air vents under both front seats, I am surprised they don't do that on the CC's.

This has been a serious complaint of mine since I got it. I too am wanting to know these part #'s. How stupid to get rid of something that was so practical. Yes the CC have the vent under the seat, at least mine does, but it does nothing to cool down the back when you are just using the dash vents.

Shasta, did you ever get the part info? The lack of vents in the rear was one of the things i failed to notice when getting the new LMM, and my two golden retrievers would really love to have their air vent back :)

If you get the info, please share it as I am sure there are many others in the same boat.

Thanks!

The vents under the seats are hooked to the floor vents, just put the knob halfway between dash and floor and turn the fan up and plenty of air hits the back.
