: FPPF = very quiet. Longer injector life?

Based on the fuel lubricity test chart I ordered out the FPPF RV/Bus/Truck fuel conditioner. I'm into the first tank of it for about 50 miles and the motor is REALLY quiet. I'm quite impressed. It is noticeably quieter and smoother.

I switched over from Amsoil Diesel Fuel Condidtioner. It worked okay, but according to the report, it didn't perform as well as the FPPF product. Plus, I was using their cetane boost, so it was costing me about $5 a tank for the adds. FPPF is running about half that, it also has a 4-5pt cetane boost built in.

I believe clean fuel and a good additive will increase injector life dramatically. Mine were done at 45K, I'm at 61K now.

Could anyone help us to find local suppliers of the additives in our respective GEO. locations.
I would like to try the FPPF additive. I'm in the Atlanta , Ga. Metro ares.

I called several truck supply outfits here in so-Cal with no results. One petroleum distributor said they could order it for me, $12 a bottle.

After a half dozen tries I just placed my order here: http://www.fleetsource.com/category_s/222.htm
they're in NJ.
But $5.26 a bottle! You have to pay for UPS tho, and they kind of over charge. I bought four bottles and paid about $10 for shipping, so they ended up costing me $7.75 which I can live with. I was paying about the same for the amsoil, maybe a bit more, but in two parts - the fuel conditioner and the cetane boost. But then that would last four tanks, so I guess the cost is similar. The test results showed the FPPF way out performing the amsoil product tho, and just one bottle to mess with.

I put a whole bottle in for the first tank, subsequent will add a half bottle per tank. Treats up to 40 gallons i think.

For a guy that drives a lot, a case of 12 would make sense.

The stuff really stinks. Funny thing tho, smells the same as the amsoil stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if it comes from the same formulator.

Kennedy sells FPPF product, but it's a different item he offers. There are quite a number of fuel additive products offered by FPPF. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the alternates would do the same thing, I was just going by what the test chart results offered.

I've been running the FPPF Total Power in every drop of fuel that has been burned in my DMax since 2001. I buy it by the case from Kennedy Diesel and it only requires about one ounce to ten gallons of fuel, so 12 one quart bottles goes a long way.

I ran PS in the Tahoe until I bought the Sierra. Started running them both on the FPPF "Kennedy Cocktail" and have been very pleased. I think something was amiss with the study regarding the FPPF products as they shouldn't have had such a wide spread between the varieties IMHO. As that is my intuition, I am sticking with the Total Power/Cetane Boost cocktail from KD. At my mix rate and approx 20K miles per year I am getting a case about every 10(?) months.

Just an FYI, you can get Total Power at O'reilly's. I had to special order it, but it was there the next day. $10 if IRC.
