...24-foot Haulmark race trailer with my Super Class drag car (my avatar) about every other weekend - weighing in at ~12K pounds average fully laden (car, tool boxes, generator, equipment, etc.). The wife's C2500 pulls the Sundowner 777 horse trailer just about every weekend during Spring and Summer - photo in the garage - about 7K pounds with two Shire horses.

Before fuel prices went through the roof I towed my horse trailer (~6.5k w/horses) 3-4 times a week and my 5'er (~6k) 3-4 times a year. During hay season, I tow 12-15k 2-3 times. Since I an't afford to buy fuel to rodeo or to camp, I don't tow much at all now.
I have never put anything behind her that she would not move with ease!

I pull a 16' tandem axle enclosed trailer 5-6 days a week. I am not sure what it weighs when I have it loaded up. I had new axles/leaf springs installed due to a few overloads wiping out my original sets. I busted both sets of leaf springs, bent an axle, AND cracked my frame! That was fun pulling it while STILL loaded to the repair shop. They will never forget my face :)

I pull a 4 horse gooseneck trailer with 8' shortwall living quarters. My daughter barrel races, although like cowdoc, we have gotten real choosy about where we go now due to diesel prices. Just switched last year from a f350 to current truck and it was the best thing we ever did.

I use mine a lot on the farm. Pull a 25' gooseneck trailer and haul tractors, equipment, hay, my bulldozer, etc..... Not at all unusual to gross 32-35 thousand pounds. Also pull a bass boat around with it, but hell, you could do that with one of them Japmobiles.-:tLOVE my LBZ:RockOn::RockOn:

The 01 lb7 gets quite a work out at times. I have a 22' dove tail utility trailer, tractor, ect. Prob the heavist load was 40' sheets of structural decking. I would est. my gross with that load was a little over 40 k  And yes you are right that was more than design but the Dmax & truck worked well. The lightest the truck ever gets is approx. 7500 gross.

That's the rule at my house. Told the wife if we were gonna pick up a payment, we'd have to use it at least once per payment. By the end of summer though, we'll be well ahead of this requirement.

Pics of my Pinzgauer 710M trailered up and hauled from Denver to SW Colo for the summer/fall. Trailer 2500lb empty, Pinz 4500lb (w/ 1/2 tank of gas), Misc lumber/tools in Pinz 500-700lbs.

Truck pulled it with no issues, but the wind did reak havoc with mileage and made the trailer a bit squirrely at times.

Thanks man!! If I get a Kodiak you know yours is how I want it.

Funny , I went to the drags last night . Towed in with black truck in avatar on 48 ft trailer . Unhooked , went to staging lanes and dragged the kodiak a few times and blew the tires off to no end in the box , then pulled back around and hooked back up and towed home at 30K .

Kodiak didnt do to bad for only 2wd with the 42" big tires and leaving light on boost . Best the truck ever did back in the day racing 2wd leaving hard on 36" tires was 10.00 , and last night it still ran 10.23 , not to shabby .

A couple NHRA techs came over and said , only you Johnny . Most guys pull in to race what they brought on the trailer . Only you pull in and race the tow vehicle . :D:D

I said ... Ya you like that , and then hooked up put a smaller tune back in and towed home at 30K . ;)

Some of you guys are pulling more than I am. My truck with tools, 52 gal titan fuel tank, 5th wheel hitch and passangers at 7,580. With 5 er attached truck weigth 9,675. RV dry wt listed at about 9200. I have 30# of propane,25 gal of water, and about 2/3 loaded with stuff. RV wt hitched to truck was 8,660. I didn't get the axels weighed as there was a long line.

I'm not to good at this but does that give me a pin weigth of 2090#? Also I,m over GVWR. I didn't do as much research as I should but this is not a real heavy 5er. The GVWR on the RV is 11,870 and I'm sure I'm not near that. What do you guys that know about this stuff think?

Tow a few times a year. Pull a 29' Wilderness TT several times a year, wet it weighs in the neighborhood of 7500. Pulled 3 cord of wet firewood in a friends LARGE dump trailer last fall....not sure what that weighed but had to be upwards of 10k+ with the trailer. Maiden voyage for trailer bought it in Hesperia CA and towed it home to Seattle area last May.

Trailer has had axles flipped (not a pavement queen), shocks installed, battery upgrade to 4 x 6V and a few other things.

Tow a 29' fifth wheel camping twice a month and 2 week long trips a year. Weighs around 10k. Have only towed the trailer out to the dealers to get bearings repacked for a total of 16 miles roundtrip. Can't wait to actually get out there and tow with this truck.

I just finished about a 1000 mile round trip towing my 30' Jayco trailer to Bristol, TN. Unbelievable power. I don't know why it took me so long to go diesel! I can't wait to go on my next camping trip!

GF's Jeep and all her stuff from SC to Kansas. We are both in aviation maintenance as contractors and she used to pull the jeep with a 27 foot camper till it caught on fire going down the hwy torward SC. So imagine packing up a woman and all her stuff. 2 rollaway tool boxes, all her clothes pots and pans, dishes, weight set etc etc etc and a treadmill, a Refrigerator, De-humidifier. 1153 miles

you forgot the kitchen sink.

24' Wells Cargo enclosed race car trailer. Loaded up for a race weekend the truck and trailer scale at 18,800.

I crest the longest grades at 65mph so I have complaints. If you want a fun one, try coming east out of Bullhead City, AZ or the Baker grade on the 15 heading east in the middle of July (only time my trans got warm enough to yell at me).

I don't get out nearly often enough. Unfortunately I abuse my truck by driving it around town empty on short trips to the plant nursery, Costco, etc. I usually don't leave empty though...
