finally after weeks of stalling and not starting, i have figured it out. with much help from this site. i have changed optic sensors, lift pumps, pmd's, all of which did not help, until i read a couple posts about cleaning the fuel sock. so i dropped the fuel tank, checked the pick-up and lines, all ok. then looked into the fuel tank, and it was clean as a new one, then i saw a round cardboard disc at the bottom of the tank, from a fuel additive container. i guess it must have slipped by me one time, because i never saw it go in, and i usually check the caps to make sure they stay out of the tank. i figure the disc was getting sucked up against the pick-up causing all sorts of problems. what lead me to it was when the truck would stall, i would have no fuel at the filter, but the lift pump was running, then i would let it sit for a bit, the it would start right up. just goes to show you how a simple thing screwed everything up. hope this helps someone else out.
