I just got a new lift pump and the thing still dont work, What can i do now?
It is a 97 gmc 2500 4x4 5spd 6.5 no mods.

are you getting power to the pump? if so did you bleed the air out of the filter housing?

Could be a bad relay? Try jumping across the pins

tryed that no power to pump

have you looked at your OPS?

Disconnect pump connector plug put meter across pins, at ign key on you should see 12V if not you need to trouble shoot pump power supply.

are you sure lifter is the problem? maybe ops? maybe low voltage? maybe bad ground? lots of stuff to troubleshoot. just shooting out some ideas.:confused:

you'd be amazed at what cleaning all your batt. connections will do if that's the prob.

I'd replace that little relay in the fuse panel that controls the lift pump, they're cheap and its one less thing to worry about. Can you check with test light if your getting power and ground at the relay?
