Just how many gallons do you have left in your gas tank when the Low Fuel light comes on? i think i have about a 26 gallon tank??

Most people will say 4-5 gallons. Most have a hard time putting in more then 22 gallons when the gauge reads empty.

DT Is correct, when the light comes on It'll only take 21 gallons.

not mine, when mine comes on i can put 25 gallons in

Seeing as the fuel pumps are cooled and lubricated by the fuel that they are pumping and are quite expensive. Filling up at 1/4 tank is a good thing and testing the fuel tank capacity can be a very expensive proposition as the fuel pump will not fail right away, but its life is shortened. PLAY SAFE!

with prices climbing, I notice more and more that I fill up at 1/2 tank or sooner. but when I've tried stretching my fumes, i put close to 23 in.
