For those of you who have both, my question is if you could only have one which would you pick. I'm down to a VA 70-125 box or a Wester's or TTS ECM. Don't need to race just extra oomph. My impression is that there could be more warranty issues with an ECM in that you can't remove it or return the truck to stock form unless you have a stock ECM. :bigglasse

Well I don't know about Wester's but I do have a drop in pcm from TTS and it is pretty simple to replace for trips to the dealer. I purchased a pcm replacement and I still have the stock one so in case of emergency I can always put the stock one in.

That depends on what you want for HP/TQ and features.......

It depends if you want the speed limiter removed or not as well.....

A box, any box is limited by the stock ECM and the programming in it.......

A custom ECM from Westners or TTS or whoever can remove certain limiters and offer proper calibration for ABS and Speedo with larger tires........

For those reasons it might be worth a custom ecm.......

The choice is really yours to make...........i chose a TTS ECM......after having a lot of different boxes/tuners...etc.

At least in theory, as far as engine control goes, there is nothing you can do with a harness box that you can't do through programming, and more.
