I will start off by saying that I drive the sh*t out of this truck.......I dont baby anything I own.

05 LLY.....Lb7 down pipe, muffler cut out, finger stick, block off plate, 285 tires.

On the 40 & 65 HP predator setting I get a consistent 15.5 - 16 MPG.


I bumped up to the 85 HP setting at got a consistent 17 MPG.......The last 3 tanks I have been on the 100 HP setting and I have been getting 17.5.




This is hand calculating and filling to the the excact same spot on my filler neck every time.....This is also city driving and trying to drag race everthing in sight.


It appears that this truck gets better MPG the harder I drive it....If I baby it around I loose 1 - 1.5 MPG


What gives?

I am definately seeing more miles per gallon than before as well. No long trips yet but definately better. Have the 40 HP tune loaded and corrected for tires.

Hmm, and here I thought I was nuts. Truck was half full when I installed the 65 tune Thursday. That tank when the trans learned and I was rodding the hell out of it came out to 14. All foot to the floor, usually that gets me 12. Dic said 15.5 so I figure it will be a couple mpg off. Went to laramie and back running 70 or so, rodding it around in town while there, dic looks to be off a bit, saying 20 or so, but I know I used less fuel than usual. So I'm curious to see what it did for mileage. If it is off 2 or so, then I got at least 17. Usually that trip get me 15.. Lots of curves and hills and WIND. Cool. I'll check next time I fill it and see just what it really got... The rest of the tank will probably be around the farm and town rodding it again though, so I know it will go down. Unless I just fill it to find out for sure what it got. Might just do that for fun..
