I know there has been a lot of talk about tuners not working with the latest update from GM and I just wanted to let all of our customers known that we've already updated and tested our LMM and everything is fine.

Also I know someone posted saying their dealership told them that someone with a Hypertech tune got the update and fried their computer. Well I've went and spoke to the tech support manager and there haven't been any reports of anyone getting this update and frying their computer. Since Hypertech has been around so long a lot of guys will call any type of tuner a Hypertech.

I have the Hypertech Max Energy for my 2007.5 LMM, and was told by the dealership when I went for my update that was sent out by GM, They told me that even though I had put my tuner back to factory before taking it in that they still were able to tell that I had an after market programmer, and that it would indeed void my warranty. Kind of pissed off about this, since Hypertech claims on their webiste that thier product does not void a warranty. Whats going on?

Go to a new dealer, or, get a lawyer if the dealer has noted this with your VIN in the GM system. If your power window goes, your tuner didn't cause it, so to void your entire warranty is pretty low by the dealer. I'd make sure everyone in the showroom heard my issue before just leaving! Chris

Would they actually take the time to check if you had one? I am not sure what's involved with checking to see if it's been flashed.

Your dealership is trying to scare you, but by law they cannot void your warranty because of an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part is what caused the failure. In this case you were not even attempting to have a repair under warranty so what would be their justification for attempting to void your warranty? Our website says that our products will not void a manufactures new vehicle warranty because they won’t because we are careful not to make more power than stock parts can handle. For example with the LMM we were able to make a lot more power than what we released. The reason we released the tune that we did was because in our testing showed us that our stage 3 is at about the limit for a stock LMM.
