Title should read motor OIL for fuel in lmm. I've been hearing about people running a motor oil mix for fuel. Are there any other concerns i should be aware of with the new motors? Especially the fuel pumps. I have a relative that has been running a motor oil and kerosene mix in his 7.3 powerstroke. Is this any better than mix with just diesel?

Motor oil with leave deposits behind because it was not ment to be burnt. If you are going to make a "witchs brew" do it with two stroke as it was ment to be burnt with very little deposits.

IMHO, the biggest concern would be voiding the 100k five year warranty by putting an unauthorized 'fuel' in your truck. It's your vehicle, but I would not put that stuff in my truck.

I find it interesting that people who use an EGR blocker/finger stick to keep exhaust gases out, want to save money by dumping used oil into the fuel ...
While that may not apply to the OP (sparky13's signature doesn't include those mods), I have read it more than once.
Old school diesel engines with old mechanical pumps could easily tolerate this type of abuse. Today's high technology, ultra precise fuel pumps and injectors don't fare well with this type of treatment.
Used oil belongs in the reclaim barrel at your local auto parts store.

I use 2 cyce TCW-3 in my truck, but not as fuel. The whole point of using the TCW-3 is to lubricate the injection pump/injectors as the ULSD available today doesn't cut it. Read the lubricity post.
I do not condone used motor oil for this purpose, gunk everything up.

Moving to Alternative Fuels. Please take a look at the post regarding using used motor oil for fuel, now Big Problems! ;)
The LMM and the 7.3 are two different animals! I am sure the DPF would love the crud and shit coming from running used motor oil! I would not use used motor oil for fuel in my truck ever!
