Does anyone know how the Edge with Attitude in level 5 compairs in the LLY vs the LB7? I had a LB7 and just traded for a 2005 LLY. Also since I do not pull anything heavy with this truck is level 5 OK to run once in a while empty. Just want the truck to have a little more get up and go if needed. For the most part I really baby my trucks.

It's pretty comparable. The LB7 had a bit more get up and go but not too much more. Edge is still working out the bugs on the LLY so you might want to make sure you get the latest revision when you order. Apparently there is a new version 1.1 that should start circulating the start of next week.

RG41054,

LB7 Std version of the Edge Juice in Lvl 5: Adds 125 HP, 325 ft lb torque.

LLY Std version of the Edge Juice in Lvl 5: Adds 120 HP, 240 ft lb torque.

The Edge web site has a statement something to the effect that the Allison will hold 680lb of torque in 5th gear. Per a conversation with there tech support, this is 680 measured at the rear wheels.

I started a thread the other day trying to find out the STOCK rear wheel torque for the LB7 and LLY. So far, it appears the LB7 is around 440 ft lbs and the LLY is around 500 ft lbs. So, assuming these numbers are close to accurate .....

LB7: Stock of 440 plus Edge Juice addition of 325 equal 765 ft lbs.
LLY: Stock of 500 plus Edge Juice addition of 240 equal 740 ft lbs.

Both are significantly over the 680 number stated on the Edge web site.
