Well just flashed a friends 07 lbz. He has an edge module on it , I told him to take it off before he brought it over, well he didn't ,and when I flashed it it locked up the vcm & won't even start.

What do we need to do to recover the vcm, can they just reflash it at the chevy garage or will it need sent away or replaced

He has a good friend at the chevy garage that can bring home there set up I hope he can just reflash it

Just to let others know how i saved my ass when this vcm froze ,and maybe I was just lucky.

1. disconnected the battery for ten min.
2. reconnected battery and flashed write entire.

Maybe it was shit luck but it took & the truck is fine now. Something to try before you run to the stealer
