: I've been fleeced by Fleece Performance!
06DMAX4ME 05-31-2008, 10:43 PM Does anybody know a good place to find a stock LBZ turbo for a decent price?
I sent my original turbo to Brayden at fleece performance and he won't send it back to me. He's promised to send it back at least five times. well, It's been about six months and I'm ready to give up on him.
TheBac 05-31-2008, 10:52 PM Check with Merchant. I think he might have one on the shelf.
beach_33 06-01-2008, 10:04 AM why woud he not send it back. i think that is odd brayden and chase are two of the nicest and most helpfull people that i have ever met

Stove 06-04-2008, 10:07 PM There might be more to the story, but who cares. Could be lack of communication, might have just forgot. As long as they a squared it between them, that is all that matters. I have a business, and things happen. As an owner you always do your best to make it as right as it can be made.
Brayden pisses me off, because he started my power bug!!
llybyppe 06-04-2008, 10:17 PM if theres a proplem Braydon will make it right. He always ansrewed my calls and sent my order right out. He might just of forgotten. He seems pretty darn busy.

Prevent him from defending himself??? Alien Patrol screwed me, do I give a flying ***** if they get kicked off the DP for a week!?!?!? I rather see them banned, have all there posts and promises deleted, and a huge warning sign not to deal with them posted......Brayden is a top shelf guy, busy yes, slow to get somethings done, sometimes:D. Sometimes patients is necessary with cutting edge products, communication is also key:rolleyes:

gasuout 06-05-2008, 07:19 PM Sorry to hear you had some troubles at Fleece .
Unusual from my experiences with them .
They've been good to me and very helpful with info . Awaiting the arrival of my cheetah now . It took a little longer than expected , but well worth the wait .
I do know they've been busy as hell .
Just picked up my new short block for Kodiak from machine shop today . Putting studs and heads on now . Eagerly waiting for the new turbo .
Thanks ..... Brayden and Chase .
Cant wait to get it together with the cheetah . It's going to haul ass Im sure . I will have some new crazy vids of the kodiak soon .
Some things are worth waiting for ........ like waiting for the Guru's to put the magic touch on your turbo .
Well worth the wait .
Johnny
beach_33 06-05-2008, 08:20 PM well your comment is wrong and uneducated. if you have never delt with him then how the hell would you know. i have news for you brayden is more about advancing the hobby that we all enjoy and making money second. there are a ton of people that heve called hi up and he stood to gain nothing by giving them help but still he did. i am one of them. that is why when i wanted some serious work done on my truck he was the only person that i considered. on the being banned note do you realize how many people have been suspended from this site for saying something that some one didnt like. it is retarded. my suggestion to you would be to just not post about a person that you know nothing about.my comment was to point out that maybe he isnt the nicest everyone says he is. i havent seen it in person, but behind a key board i have. just making a point, dont care what people think;)

madmike307 06-05-2008, 09:16 PM Brayden has always answered my guestions and called me back. They are good guys and they talk to you like humans unlike some others out their.
LarryJewell 06-05-2008, 09:28 PM there's a comment section for/about vendors at the bottom of the forum, its been about 6 days of this crap, shouldn't a mod have already moved this to the right place, this isn't it.
Chevy HD 06-05-2008, 09:28 PM Not speaking for Brayden but I would almost bet money that he "forgot" to send the turbo back because of being to busy. It is a two man show at Fleece Performance and believe me it gets extremely busy I have hung out at their shop countless times. Besides working on a number of trucks each day Brayden and Chase are working on these awesome products such as the Turbobrake and Cheetah turbo both of which I have on my truck and wouldn't think twice to put on it again. As stated before he is an extremely busy man and he may not answer your call right away but he will get back with you and take care of whatever you need as soon as possible. He wouldn't have all the customers he does if he was out to screw people. Its pretty easy to see the character of a person as soon as you meet them and the moment I dropped my truck off to get the tranny done I knew the Fleece's were great people. To make me believe even stronger Brayden came up to Lafayette, an hour and a half from his place, to work on my truck on Christmas Eve becuase I locked my ECM up and when I tried to pay him atleast for his fuel money he wouldn't accept a dime. Brayden and Chase are top notch guys and many many people on this board will back me up. Again not trying to speak for Brayden but just trying to let people know the facts.
Bryan :)
Stove 06-05-2008, 10:03 PM Let me say again, why keep digging. Neither of the parties actually involved have posted any further, so why keep digging.
It is not possible to be in business and not have things like this happen, PERIOD. I have been here since the beginning, and to this point this is the only thing negative about fleece I have seen posted. IMHO it is not really to bad.
I was one of the first to post my experiences with fleece, hell brayden has delivered my truck to my house. Should he done that, no because turning wrenches and doing mods can and normally will take longer than expected.
I just cannot figure out why there is an axe to grind?
Stove 06-05-2008, 10:07 PM I also have to say that IMHO there are not really bad vendors here, at least before the sell out. I would trust my truck with any of these veteran vendors. Just so happen that ended up at brayden's place. Before doing my tranny, I email/pm'ed all the local vendors, and some within a few hours drive.
Also, time off seems to be handed out like candy on halloween. So I put little merit in time off being an indicator of much.
Stingpuller 06-05-2008, 10:41 PM I have had very good dealings with the brothers also. They tend to go out of there way to help out others and do what they say. I believe they are just swamped with people who want a good product. Jeff
deadsquirrel 06-05-2008, 10:51 PM the fleece crew is good people. any misunderstanding is most definately due to the fact that they are incredibly busy with projects. i wouldnt take my stuff anywhere else

problem #1 is that he is a limited vendor. supposedly they are supposed to be held to a higher standard because of there vendor status. some vendors have been reprimanded in the past for similar stuff. normal joe blows saying that would be a different story. problem #2, you can say and call names all you want, bringing someones family(whether its true or not) into it is way to far regardless of who it is. up until then, didnt really care what was said NOT MY PROBLEM! to me, that was WAY to far. and if you read the thread, i wasnt the only one thinking that. and as we know, thats what got him the time off.

So basically you are continuing to stir because of a comment made towards someone else? So you must be the morality police!! Those 2 have issues between them plain and simple.
I found the comment to be a funny kind of poke. I'm a big boy and that comment would have rolled off me like water off a ducks ass.
I'm also not sure how or why a vendor's full or limited status, Fleece is full vendor status, holds them to a higher standard. I would think that a vendor would want to hold themselves to a higher standard, despite it not being a requirement.
In this case, like many others, it gets heated and maybe things should not have been posted. These types of things have been going on for a long time. The old suncoast/ats threads were crazy, but I did not let that deter me from buying products from those companies.
I think that there are a lot of us posting with fleece in our signature lines because we KNOW the service we have each received. You might not agree with brayden's comment, and I don't agree with members with no dog in the fight stirring the pot. IMHO, I might say that the post stirring is worse, mainly because it is unneeded and if it takes one potential customer away or slightly tarnishes ones reputation that is far more damaging then some smart ass comment aimed at a specific person. That is for all that stir or dig, not just you specifically.
I've said it before, I would take my truck to any of these builders that we have as vendors. I also bet that each of those vendors have/had issues just like this one.
I can also understand your perspective. This issue got blown up, because of the other thread, which I have no opinion of. Lots of things going on it that thread, at the pulls, and past history.

Ok back to post #1 has 06DMAX4ME got his stock 06 LBZ turbo back , I would think all party's involved could be happy with that any one have a update
Brayden 06-09-2008, 10:54 PM It hit the UPS store tonight.. but the UPS guy had already left so it will leave tomorrow.
Like Chase said earlier, we're just two guys, and I'm not the most organized person but we're getting there. And as some have brought to light we're making it happen in a polebarn that we built.. from the ground up, radiant floor heat etc, with our own hands. It's been a learning experience to say the least but I wouldn't trade it for a 3000.00/month lease. It wouldn't help us out or our customers.
Have you ever noticed that some of the best restraunts are "little hole in the wall" places. Would you rather have a fancy building with crappy food, or a corner diner with the best food you've ever had? I vote good food ;)

I watch alot of extreme 4x4, I think they assume if you want more info on any of the products you would check their site. On that same epsiode, I miss the first bit, and had to check their site to see what bumper they used.....so it wasn't just the TB they didn't mention again.....
06DMAX4ME 06-11-2008, 06:10 PM  I just logged on and found this post. Here's the story...
I sent Brayden my stock turbo back in January. He received it and we were talking about ceramic coating, bb, exhaust vanes and compressor wheel sizes. I told him I was not sure what I was going to go with and that I would get back with him. He also told me he was working on a gt42 intake/cheetah vvt exhaust turbo that should be out soon. I decided to reuse my 4094 for now and that I would probably upgrade to the larger cheetah later. Since my turbo had not been disassembled I asked Brayden if he could send it back and I told him I would pay for his time and shipping. He agreed.
After a few weeks I called him again. He now said he did'nt have my original turbo, but he would send me another turbo. I've been calling him and sending emails for the last six months and as of today 06/11 I have not received a turbo from him. I agree that Brayden sounds like a very nice guy on the phone, but I think telling people your too busy or your shop is too small is BS.
Brayden posted that he shipped a turbo to me on 06/10. I'll let you guys know if I receive anything.

Our latest recipe beat brand X by nearly 2 feet at the last competition ;) ;) ;) and didn't have all those nasty artificial flavors, just simple ingredients chosen to bring out the best in each. That recipe is more satisfying as well since it tastes better and doesn't cost half as much!
Not on the first day u didnt, and wouldnt have on the 2nd if i wouldent have messed with my tune and killed my rail pressure. just another one of my goof ups this year...lol.. o well win some and loose some...and sometimes loose worse than others...
But anyway, way to be consistantly 4th... only 20 feet or so off the leader... i think we both have some work to do... and now that i have my fuel problem fixed i hope we can meet again....
Brayden 06-12-2008, 11:15 PM 1st day was crap because he tried 4th.
2nd day was pretty good but it has more in it. Possibly swap out the 2.5 turbo for a bigger one ;)
Care to compare recipes Evan?
Let's see.. EFILive + Cheetah + 350.00 Nozzles + Lift pump .... Yeah that's about all that's in that recipe.
I'm sure you'll pull against it or another Cheetah truck soon. Stingpuller might come over for a pull, you game ?
About being consistently fourth.. It takes some hardparts to be consistently 1st. I don't know if you knew but Jerrod's motor is a stock motor.
Can't say that can you?

Kyle03D 06-13-2008, 10:09 AM You can't tell me that Rod's aren't that big of a difference... They are.
Yes, stock rods are kind of like a sponge when it comes to HP, darn things soak it right up. 4340's provide some good HP amplification, but not as much as aluminum or unobtainum they have real good kick too them.

Oh chit...I about choked on my lunch when I read this!!lol The Turbo Brake was built by a guy from Plainfield. We know where the turbo wheel idea came from. Your cheap compared to other vendors because you have no overhead do to operating in a zoned agriculture area.
How is McRatt's tune up doing for you?? How is Johnny's truck coming that you so validly defended??? Oh wait...he had to TOW it somewhere else. I'm not defending anyone but don't flatter yourself with knowledge you don't have. I believe even a guy from MI was trying to get the turbo brake to work correctly???
High Sierra 2500 06-13-2008, 03:14 PM Guys, I am temporarily closing this for some discussion among the mods after receiving multiple reported posts.
