Last weekend was the inaugural pull with the new upgrades to the truck with the new trailer. I went and weighed the truck and trailer dry after i picked it up from the dealer. 7660 Kg (16 887 lbs) dry combined. Then after loading everything up (2 quads and 2 bikes and the other needed items for a good trip:beerchug:) I weighed it again, and it came in at 9840 KG (21 693 lbs) without putting any water into the 110 gallon tank. The truck pulled it like there was nothing behind me. But you do notice when you try and stop with it wanting to push you. Next on the upgrade is some gauges to watch for the dreaded heat in the Dmax and install my V2 kit and larger tranny cooler. Then i can hopefully say good bye to any heatting problems now that Summer time is here:coolnana:

looks good. You ever ride up north of Red Earth?

Haven't yet. Is there some good riding up there. We like to go riding anywhere that you can have fun and enjoy the land. We usually go to the mountains on the Alberta / British Columbia border. It's still a haven to go riding and camping, atleast until the big 4X4 tear everything up and the Govt closes everything here.

But you do notice when you try and stop with it wanting to push you.

If the trailer is pushing then you don't have your trailer brake setup correctly.
It shouldn't be pushing, I would suggest setting this up for your trailer.

Nice camper for sure. Like the other guy said if the camper is pushing you, something may not be right about the brakes or the controller.

It took me a bit, but i did get the brakes set up to where i wanted them. It's a huge difference from pulling a 5000# trailer to a 13000 + one. But now things are rolling:driver:and its time to start cruising the highways looking for some nice places to go riding and camping. Only wish I could take the whole summer off work to do it.

That is a nice camper that you have. If I had one like that I would probably retire early and enjoy life.

Do you have a dually 3500 or a 2500? I'm looking to get a raptor 3602 and was wondering about the weight. Its 13000 shipping weight.

Thanks.
