I went ahead and popped for the Painless headlight relay kit and it does go in easily enough. I wasn't aware that you lose the "auto" headlight feature with the daytime running lights.

Does anyone know of a fix or different modification that will allow the use of the "auto" feature? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time,

Mark

You shouldn't lose the auto headlight feature. At least i can't see why you would.

I wouldn't have thought that it would have been affected either. I called Painless tech support and they confirmed that the driving lights do not function with the Painless kit.

Does the diode jump/upgrade affect the auto/driving light feature?

Thanks for any wisdom,

Mark

You shouldn't have lost the auto feature because I didn't. If you hooked it up right it should work. Just so you know the DRLs only come on when you are in gear. Maybe you hooked something up wrong. Although, I just bought a relay and wired mine up myself with the help of downloaded directions.

Thanks for the response OB Jr. I'll check the DRL feature. Electronics are far from a strong point for me. Thanks again.

if your talking about the headlite relay part#30822 that makes high n low beams work together.there will be no affect on your drls or your fog lites.but with high beams on your fogs will not work with or without the relay
