Does anyone know of a way to make the + - buttons on the shift lever to become fully manual? (if the truck wants to be in 5th but i want it in 6th i have no way of doing it)

yes. But it only allows me to select the highest gear that the tranny can use. I want to be able to TELL it what gear to use.

The manual shifting does not support that feature. It used to limit the top gear to be in. If the gear selector was used to do all gears the gear shift throw and travel would probably be pointing straight down to get through all the gears. Not sure if efilive v2 can be used with bi-directional DVT feature to force the Allison into the gear you want. New to efilive and have not got to checking that out.

EFILive DVT's are currently in BETA testing. They do allow you to select the gear you want on the Allison.

I'm still confused as to why tou would want it in too high of a gear unless you want to bogg it to blow smoke? Not really questioning your motive just shoot me an answer-I'm interested.

when cruising in the city it may want to be in 4th gear, The guy in front of me who is always going to slow needs to pick up the speed 2kmh so it will drop to 5th gear. I know the truck has no problem with this as i can force it some times. Fuel up here is $1.40/ Liter (Canadian). Anything that will help

When EFI gets this feature going I'm sure to see more clutches burnt with full manual.. How many people will try this and start off in 3rd, 4th or even worse 5th gear:).. I have used manual valve bodies in street cars before and they always forget to downshift at a stop and pull off in the highest gear burning clutches..

Please be very careful when this comes available..

i have a while to go before i can do anything like that, my dealer won't validate my warranty is i put any kind of chip or programmer on it.

I don't believe he'd ever know with EFI
