Its called G-Tech Pro. I saw this the other day at Autozone for $199.99. Seems neat it measures hP< tourque,0-60 times and alot more. It plugs up to your cigeratte lighter. Anyone ever tried one of these?

yes, they work well but only as accurate as the information you put into them.

Check out the last post in this thread:http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?p=491596#post491596 to see what it can do.

Mines closer than 5% most the time. You need to go to a truck scale and get an accurate weight with about a half tank of fuel and you in it. You can then "ZERO" it real good before the runs for best results.

A friend used one several years ago on his '89 2.5L turbo caravan. It rated the engine one horsepower lower than the factory rating. I was amazed that the accelerometer is precise enough to come up with data that good just entering vehicle weight.

as stated before, need to know your weight with you inside, and do a proper calibration and install, hp is just a measurment of weight over time/distance, i have found them to be with in 5hp of the dyno on numerous events, what i like the most is, you can gtech a run, then do a change and do it again, the difference is very acuarte, and you can download to the computer, and check out hp and tq, rpms, speed, Gs, distance, and braking distance
for someone that is not close to a dyno or track, this is a great allternative, i have seen 1/4 miles times .01 compared to track, you can also send files to other members to compare with theirs, you can also open up in excell to do a more finer look at the run, it does close to 600 inputs in the 1/4mile for its numbers, not to shabby
